Why We Object to Lairdmannoch Energy Park
The proposed Lairdmannoch Energy Park (ECU00004900) would introduce large wind turbines, solar infrastructure, and industrial battery storage into a sensitive rural landscape. We object because this development threatens protected wildlife, undermines carbon‑rich peatlands, risks water safety, and disregards fair community consultation. Our campaign stands to defend the countryside and uphold Scotlands planning and environmental protections.

Wildlife & Habitats
The turbines and associated infrastructure risk harming raptors, bats, and other species, while fragmenting valuable habitats that support biodiversity.
Peatlands & Water
Excavation and construction on peatland will release stored carbon, increase flood risks, and could pollute or disrupt local water supplies.
Community & Process
We believe the consultation has been inadequate, failing to properly involve residents or address cumulative impacts. Planning law requires transparency and protection of local interests.
